OUR HISTORY

Celebrating 40 years of bringing brands to life, dms CREATiVE continues to be one of the leading strategic marketing and creative design studios in Toowoomba, dedicated to crafting impactful campaigns that deliver results.

Formerly known as Downs Media Services, our marketing agency was established in 1983 as a publishing and editorial business. Over time, Downs Media Services continued to grow and specialise in graphic design, advertising and marketing.

In April 2008, Downs Media Services acquired a long-standing Toowoomba advertising agency, The ASF Group. This merger allowed the addition of other specialties including copywriting and media planning and placement services to the company's offerings.

Recognising the need to reflect its comprehensive range of creative graphic design, advertising, and strategic marketing solutions, Downs Media Services rebranded as dms CREATiVE in 2010.

The marketing industry is continually evolving. And throughout our 40-year journey, dms CREATiVE has thrived by continuously adapting and developing our product offerings and areas of expertise to stay at the cutting edge of the industry.

But really, what’s in a name?

Well, in successful marketing, it’s everything. The right name encapsulates your brand. It makes a statement. It can declare who you are and what you do.

And just as Google (Backrub), Nike (Blue Ribbon Sports) and Pepsi Cola (Brad’s Drink) have outgrown their original names, we thought Downs Media Services also deserved a new look.
